We have an opportunity for an experienced engineer to build and develop a new base operation at Elstree. This brings an opportunity for a driven character to make their mark and take up a role at the forefront of Sloane Helicopters future.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include: –

• Supervise base and local line personnel and performance.
• Carry out & certify aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Manage base facilities, stores and equipment.
• Manage inventories and assigned procedures.
• Champion safety and quality across the department.

Terms of Reference

Base Senior Engineers

Personnel

1. Advise Trade Managers of team competency and development needs required by base production goals.
2. Advise Trade Managers of conduct in support of appraisals.
3. Supervise/Performance manage assigned staff as production supervisor.
4. Action time cards for engineering activities as required.
5. Conduct appraisals and performance reviews of assigned staff.

Technical

1. Supervise Base production activities in line with the production plan.
2. Supervise/undertake certification of maintenance activities B & C.
3. Provide trade assessments for internal departments, SBs, ADs and customer requests.

Planning

1. Report on Aircraft Status information as required by Trade Managers for area of responsibility.
2. Co-ordinate resources input and changes with trade managers and Customer Services.
3. Assign staff to projects as required by production goals.

Production Support

1. Maintain facility within area of responsibility ensuring adherence to procedures, standards and regulations.
2. Maintain Tool, equipment and facility inventories for area of responsibilities.
3. Support change project activities.
4. Undertake other duties that may be required by the role that develop.
5. Travel to other locations as required to undertake assigned projects.

Safety & Quality

1. Promote safety and reporting culture within the team.
2. Assist Trade Managers in safety and finding investigations.
3. Provide information to ESAG.
4. Communicate safety and quality targets, feedback and information to team.
